How to add NEW product list / menu using Excel

Notes:1. This Excel version does not link to existing product code. This version will auto create new product code for each items. Suitable for adding new menu. 

2. When terminal display the list of product in the grid and if there is no product code link to the menu, system will auto create a new product code for that item. For 1st time setup, you must add new products via the terminal before using the terminal in offline mode.

3. Take note that if you are 1st time creating the menu display, there is an extra steps to be done after uploading the excel file - refer to Step 9 onward.

4. It is advisable to create a sample file first with only few data and TEST upload & display on the terminal.


Steps by steps on creating the menu:

Step 1 - Login to TrackSol Cloud merchant website.

Step 2 - Go to Sales & Distribution > Product Maintenance > Product Menu Setup > Menu Setup Batch Upload

Step 3 - Download the template from Menu Navigation Setup with Attribute (2nd selection)

Step 4 - Open the file in Excel.


Step 5 - Fill up the required information. Below is explanation:


Step 6 - Once the file is completed, please Save As CSV (Comma Delimited) file.




Step 7 - Go to Sales & Distribution > Product Maintenance > Product Menu Setup > Menu Setup Batch Upload

Step 8 - Upload the file. Please make sure you read the on-screen upload status.



For successful upload, system will display on the top of the screen "Passed on validation: nn - nn = number of items being uploaded). If all items pass, meaning, your upload is successful.

If your upload is fail, system will display "Failed on validation: nn - nn = number of items that fail the validation. Please refer to the message box to know exactly what type of error your file contain). 

Only after you have achieved successful upload, you can proceed to the next step 9. If not, please rectify your file content.

Step 9 - Perform Update Terminal - go to Admin --> Update Files --> Products (X) ---> Other Files (X) --> Done --> Update (X) --> Done --> press Enter.

After update, go to Order --> click at Add --> Terminal will display the product menu. All the products / menu uploaded do not have Tax Code & Price yet.

Step 10 - Tap on a product and press Enter. The terminal will display on the screen to setup the price.



Please complete the price setup for every single products.

Note: If you want to make adjustment after uploading the Excel file or price setup, you can perform edit at the following:

a) To change the keyword display --> go to Sales & Distribution > Product Maintenance > Product Menu Setup > Product Keywords Maintenance

b) To edit the GRID/Tap/Menu attributes --> go to Sales & Distribution > Product Maintenance > Product Menu Setup > Menu Setup Maintenance

c) To edit the product information --> go to Sales & Distribution > Product Maintenance > Product Maintenance 


After you have perform the edit in (a), (b) or (c), you need to update the terminal. Please perform (1) Reload Menu and (2) Update Files at Terminal Admin menu. Click here on how to reload menu and update files at the terminal.
